My Code of Moral Ethics
In 2002, I went about the very interesting exercise of actually writing out my own code of moral ethics. This was a very interesting experience, in that it took me much more introspection than I previously believed it would.
If more people in this world followed similar guidelines in their own lives --- this world would find itself a much better place in which to live.
Here, I reprint this so that the reader may know something important about me and my commitment to TRUTH:
MY CODE OF MORAL ETHICS
© 2002 and 2005 Kent Daniel Bentkowski
All of the following constitute my moral code:
I believe in GOD, which I have come to know as a field of energy inherent in all that is perceivable in this physical world. I recognize the power of my own free will. During my darkest hours of need; someone was always there to hold a torch, so I could make my way safely, from out of the darkness and into the light.
I believe the Constitutional Republic of the United States was the best place on earth to have been born and raised, and to live today.
I believe in the United States Constitution and its’ attached Bill Of Rights, as it was originally written and intended, and NOT what it had become during the last thirty-two years of the twentieth century, beginning with the Presidency of Richard Nixon.
I believe in the unalienable rights granted to me by the United States Constitution; including. but NOT limited to: the right of free speech, to peaceably assemble with others of like mind, to keep and bear arms to defend my family and my property, and to pursue life, liberty, and what ever makes me happy --- so long as it harms no one else.
I believe in the protection and defense of the United States Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. It was with this in mind, which led me to write this moral code.
I believe that the most important things in life are family and friends, both of which I will do my best to honor and protect at all times, even if great harm or injury should befall me in the process.
I believe in truth, honesty, and integrity --- and I have always spoken the truth, even when it would have been easier or more rewarding to do otherwise. I will continue to speak the truth because it is the right thing to do, even if telling a falsehood would be easier for someone else to hear. I believe that lying is wrong, is immoral, and is a sin against GOD.
I believe that my intelligence, compassion, and integrity are the three most important things that I possess in this life, and I would never do anything to jeopardize or ruin them in my own eyes, or in the eyes of others.
I will defend all of these important points, until the time of my physical death from this life.
Finally, I believe that any person without morals or integrity is only a shell of a human being, and they are of no use to me or to the world whatsoever.
Amen.
