ACLU Silent on Florida Police-State Tactics
THIS is the NEW police-state! Feeling safer already?
At the bottom of this article, the reader will find an article from Prisonplanet.com, concerning the recent Florida police plan to ILLEGALLY SEARCH RANDOM CITIZENS (not civilians!!!) where they will be asked to produce their I.D. papers. This is a disgusting plan, which smacks of NAZI GERMANY of the late 1930's and early 1940's. I suppose that I should not be surprised of this, as Prescott Sheldon Bush (Dumbya's Grampa) was one of Hitler's Wall Street financiers. For his collaboration, Bush was prosecuted and jailed for violations of the Trading With The Enemy Act.
When I read the article, I was sickened to learn just how far down the path of totalitarianism this country has come. I immediately drafted a letter to the ACLU national and Florida offices, and FAXed them to the attention of the Executive Director of BOTH offices. I have reproduced this SAMPLE LETTER below, for your use.
I encourage everyone reading this to spend a few moments to FAX these people, and tell them of your displeasure with their silence on these police-state tactics.
Here are the unpublished FAX NUMBERS for BOTH offices of the ACLU:
American Civil Liberties Union - National Office (New York City):
Anthony D. Romero - Executive Director
FAX NUMBER - (212) 549-2646
American Civil Liberties Union of Florida - Office (Miami):
Howard Simon - Executive Director
FAX NUMBER - (305) 576-1106
Also, the SAMPLE LETTER OF PROTEST below contains the address for the New York National Office. Here below is the correct office address for the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida, which needs to be inserted into the letter to Howard Simon:
Mr. Howard Simon
Executive Director
American Civil Liberties Union of Florida
3000 Biscayne Blvd - Suite # 215
Miami, Florida 33137-4129
Also, send a FAX instead of either a postal snail mail or an e-mail. FAX transmissions are always given the highest priority, while snail-mail and e-mail are given a lesser priority.

Re: ACLU Silent on Florida Police-State Tactics
Greetings, Mr. Romero:
I am outraged at your organizations position on the recent news that Miami police are performing random ID SEARCHES on peaceful and law-abiding citizens (NOT civilians!!!). The comment by ACLU Florida Executive Director Howard Simon, that “What we are dealing with is officers on street patrol, which is more effective and more consistent with the Constitution,” is flat-out nonsense, and has no bearing on the Constitution whatsoever.
This police-state behavior is a clear violation of four of the ten amendments that make up the United States Constitution’s Bill of Rights:
1st Amendment – Peaceable Assembly.
4th Amendment – To be secure in their persons and papers, and from unreasonable searches.
8th Amendment – Unusual punishments inflicted.
9th Amendment – To deny or disparage other rights retained by the people.
I am a former member of the ACLU, and I resigned my membership when I realized that your organization is what is known as a Trojan Horse, whereupon you appear to be helping, but when REAL HELP is needed, the ACLU is nowhere to be found. This very case is a perfect example of this destruction of our Constitutional rights.
This dangerous precedence set forth by the Florida police is designed to frighten the citizens (not civilians!!!) into cowering before the police, and submitting to unreasonable searches, while the true culprits of these heinous terrorist events go unpunished. It is because of this type of behavior by the ACLU, that I recommend to ALL of my friends and family that they DO NOT join your organization.
Sincerely Yours,
Your Name Here
