Cindy Sheehan again targeted as public enemy number one of Bush Crime Family


KENTROVERSY COMMENT: Cindy Sheehan, the figurehead leader of the current peace movement, has been arrested once again by the thugs of the Bush Crime Family, who are now resorting to strong arm tactics, because there is no justification for their war-mongering and profiteering. The troubling aspect of this is that there is no longer any semblance of FREEDOM OF SPEECH in this country, with peace activists being penned in what are euphemistically called FREE-SPEECH ZONES, with peaceful activists being arrested after encounters with agents provocateur.

Casey Sheehan, Cindy's deceased son, would have wanted his mother to speak for him from beyond the grave, as she fights what she knows in her heart, is an illegal war for which her son died fighting. The Bush Crime Family adds further insult to injury by their disrespecful treatment of a woman who is quickly becoming the CONSCIENCE OF PEACE for the twenty-first century.

The good news is this; the longer the Bush Crime Family fight with Ms. Sheehan, they are only adding to her side of the argument; that this is an illegal and immoral war, that is being fought for reasons of corporate profiteering, and NOT because of the stated threat of terrorism, which in and of itself, is a bad joke without a punch line.

The more they attack her, the stronger she becomes.

Her story will outrage those who learn of her difficulties, and bring many over to our side of this spiritual battle for what is left of the soul of America.


Cindy Sheehan Again "Manhandled" By Police As She Is Targeted As Bush Public Enemy No. 1

Freedom of speech is a thing of the past and Bush and his minions should be horsewhipped for bringing fascism to American streets. For allowing this treatment of a grieving mother who lost her son in an illegal war, Bush no longer should be given the respect of his office but treated like a common street thug.


The facts behind this week's arrest of Cindy Sheehan are not completely clear, but it appears she was arrested for merely standing outside a public building in peaceful protest, not being a nuisance or acting in an offensive manner.

But in today's political climate offensive, according to Bush minions, means anything contrary to the Bush party line, a line Sheehan again crossed like she did when she was hauled out of the House gallery at the State of the Union Address for wearing an anti-war tee-shirt.

This time at a U.N. Tuesday protest in New York, the official charges released were criminal trespassing and resisting arrest, but from photos it looked like police were doing the roughhousing in what seemed like a good old fashioned New York Police mugging, as Sheehan was literally manhandled, according to the photos.

Not surprising, cried war and civil libertarians after Sheehan's arrest, as the crackdown of freedom of speech rights is now getting downright ugly while the Bush military machine marches on toward eventual fascism.

However, other observers who were old enough to remember Kent State and the actions of the Chicago Police force during the heyday of the Vietnam war protests, remind Americans that this type of barbaric military force is nothing new.

For example, many Americans forget how students were killed at Kent State for protesting and how gestapo tactics were used on peaceful protestors on Chicago streets during rallies held during a political convention.

However, as America now is on the verge of full-blown fascism, what's particularly disturbing about the treatment used against Sheehan is that she's obviously being used as an example, as police could have used more discretion in targeting a grieving mother who lost her son in Iraq and who was no threat at disturbing the peace.

In defense of Sheehan, Ann Wright, a friend and former U.S. diplomat, issued a statement on behalf of the group Womaen Say No to War, saying the U.N. representatives never even bothered to even meet Sheehan and the other women, triggering the arrest.

Wright said the women, including Sheehan, were not going to leave without someone accepting a petition with 60,000 signatures opposing the war in Iraq as well urging "withdrawal of all troops and all foreign fighters from Iraq."

Sheehan, a mother who lost her son in the Iraq War, originally drew the country's undivided attention when she camped out at the Bush ranch in Crawford, protesting the war and saying she wouldn't leave until Bush gave her a personal meeting or publicly explained what he meant by the war being "a noble cause."

Bush, of course, never met with Sheehan, but the real story behind the obnoxious, uncaring and perhaps psychopathic character of our phony President was first revealed when he did grant a meeting with Sheehan and her family several months after her son, Casey, was killed in Iraq after only being there for five days.

Back then Bush was still inviting grieving families to the White House for cameo meetings, supposedly to express his condolences and sorrow. However, Sheehan's personal account of the private get-together was anything but cordial, saying Bush's "cocky attitude and insensitivity" made it "the worst experience of my life."

In fact, as reported in an extensive personal recollection interview in the Arctic Beacon last year before Sheehan gained national fame, he told how Bush didn't even know her or her son's name when he entered the room, saying in a callous manner "Who we all honorin' here today?"

After that unbelievable greeting to a person who paid the ultimate price, Sheehan said the meeting went downhill from there, as Bush acted aloof, insensitive and even gave Sheehan's daughter "the once over" and several "dirty looks" for daring to question the validity and purpose of the war."

Disgusted over the meeting, Sheehan then decided to become active, forming Gold Star Families For Peace and even joining forces with the After Downing Street Washington D.C. crowd, which has blossomed into an organization of millions of people nationwide trying to get Bush to comment on why he lied to the American people about WMD in Iraq.

Sheehan's latest arrest exemplifies how the present administration views war protestors, considering them criminals, arrested and silenced.

Sheehan was arrested with three female protestors, making it the second brush with the law in the last two months as earlier this year she was manhandled and arrested in the Congressional House gallery after refusing to cover up a tee-shirt bearing an anti-war slogan before President Bush's State of the Union address.
