AUTHOR ROBERT ANTON WILSON, PASSES AWAY AT 74
by Kentroversy
Influential author Robert Anton Wilson died of complications from childhood Polio, on January 11, 2007 at 4:50am in Santa Cruz, California USA. The author of more than thirty-five books, Wilson became highly influencial to those of us who dance to the beat of a different drummer. To all who knew him, and to those who have studied under him at Maybe Logic Academy, RAW (as he was known), was a literary rockstar.
He will be greatly missed by his world-wide fanbase, and for those of us who are always looking for some inspiring reading, I might suggest that these people go to their favorite bookstore and order some of his works.
I would recommend the following list -- Wilson's Trilogy of Trilogies:
- The Illuminatus! Trilogy (1975)
- Schrödinger's Cat trilogy (1980-1981)
- The Historical Illuminatus Chronicles (1982-1991)
These trilogies named above are some intelligent reading for those who look for something different in the books they read. With Robert Anton Wilson, every book represents a different facet of his intellect and genial wit.
Bob, you WILL be missed!
