In the February 12, 2008 season premiere of CBS-TV's JERICHO, an episode entitled RECONSTRUCTION, the character of Jake Green [played by Skeet Ulrich] utters the F-Word. The screenshot below captures the moment in the scene in which Jake is talking with Major Beck about the man sitting in the chair next to Jake, who was captured as an intruder to the town of Jericho, Kansas USA.

The CBS-TV television drama JERICHO, in its' second season premiere, the character Jake Green utters the F-Word, in the scene pictured immediately above.

Jake is asked by Major Beck what was going on, to which he replied:

" ... Another FUCK from New Bern with a blood feud."

Here is a transcript of the dialogue:

MAJOR BECK: "What Happened here?"

JAKE GREEN: "Come on, you know EXACTLY what happened. Another FUCK from New Bern with a blood feud. That's a dozen in two weeks.

MAJOR BECK: "We stopped just as many men heading in the other direction."

MAJOR BECK (to enlisted soldier): "Is he talking?"

ENLISTED SOLDIER: "No, sir. No."

MAJOR BECK: "Get him processed."

ENLISTED SOLDIER: "Yes, sir."

Think you hear Jake say something else?

Well, that doesn't really matter, as IF it something else entirely that he is saying, the intimation is that he used the F-Word, which is a broadcast network first. This is all part of what the networks describe as competing with the cable channels, such as HBO and SHOWTIME, which offer superior programming in the category of the one-hour drama. Examples of such superior programming from the pay cable channels are THE SOPRANOS, CALIFORNICATION, WEEDS, and THE WIRE -- just to name a few examples of the better shows that have been on recently, or are currently on the air.

This is truly an example of how much our society is falling ...
