Some Inconvenient Facts


The documentary An Inconvenient Truth reveals some disturbing facts about our environment.


SOME INCONVENIENT FACTS ABOUT 'AN INCONVIENT TRUTH'

The television commercial for the documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth' reveals some rather disturbing facts about what industrial pollution has done to our global environment. While there are those who wish to disbelieve these facts, or try to convince us that this is a normal process of this planet, it still remains a fact that the current level of industrial pollution that we are seeing on this planet, has NEVER occurred at any time in the past.

The facts as presented in that commercial are as follows:

In thirty-seconds . . .
  • 210,000 cubic feet of ice will have become water.

  • 34.8 tons of Carbon Dioxide will have been released into the atmosphere.

Extrapolating these figures, I arrived at the following:
In twenty-four hours . . .
  • 604,800,000 cubic feet of ice will have become water.

  • 100,224 tons of Carbon Dioxide will have been released into the atmosphere.

In one year (365 days) . . .
  • 220,752,000,000 cubic feet of ice will have become water.

  • 40,231,760 tons of Carbon Dioxide will have been released into the atmosphere.


These measurements lead to some interesting results . . .

One eighteen-wheel trailer with the following dimensions 48' x 8.5' x 13.5' = 5,508 cubic feet. A trailer of this size can carry a maximum weight load of 46,000 lbs, which is 23 tons.

This leads to the following . . .
In thirty-seconds . . .
  • 210,000 cubic feet of ice will have become water. (38.12 trailers)

  • 34.8 tons of Carbon Dioxide will have been released into the atmosphere. (1.5 trailers)

In twenty-four hours . . .
  • 604,800,000 cubic feet of ice will have become water. (109,000 trailers)

  • 100,224 tons of Carbon Dioxide will have been released into the atmosphere. (4,357.565 trailers)

In one year (365 days) . . .
  • 220,752,000,000 cubic feet of ice will have become water. (40,078.431 trailers)

  • 40,231,760 tons of Carbon Dioxide will have been released into the atmosphere. (1,749,206.957 trailers)


When one looks at this in the manner as above --- with this industrial pollution being carried in eighteen-wheeler tractor trailer trucks that we ALL see out on the highways of our own countries of origin --- we also find that this creates one hell of a traffic jam!

Lastly, there are those out there who attempt to claim that GLOBAL WARMING is just a normal part of the eath's own ecosystem. While this is TRUE --- that ecosystem does NOT include this level of pollution --- which is unprecedented both in its' scope and in its' amount.

While this might make for an inconvenient truth, I am willing to bet that no one either your or I know has seats reserved on the SPACE ARK off the planet once that POINT OF NO RETURN has been reached.

And you can BET that IF such a system of escape does exist --- only the global elite and THEIR KIND have seats reserved --- while the rest of us will be left to die on the planet's surface.
