Second only to the news of the reformation of LED ZEPPELIN for one night, the Mighty Van Halen has reunited with original vocalist David Lee Roth, who was in the band from 1978-1984 -- recording six albums during that time -- two of which have sold ten million copies each. These two albums have been awarded the coveted DIAMOND AWARD by the RIAA -- the Recording Industry Association of America -- Van Halen I and 1984 -- ironically the first and last albums of the Roth era.
During these years, I used to follow this band all over the east coast where I live, just like a Deadhead. When they would tour and make their way to my area of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and the Southern Ontario part of Canada -- I would simply disappear for a couple of weeks to see the show in a number of cities in these areas. Over that six year time period, I am guessing that I saw the band live thirty or forty times.
The infamous FRANKENSTRAT guitar that was created soley by Eddie Van Halen. Recently, 300 limited-edition replicas of this guitar were sold for $25,000 each.

This reunion has raised many hopes, as we fans have been waiting for this for 23 years -- is the band any good at this point? Is Wolfie a suitable replacement for Michael Anthony -- who left to become Sammy Hagar's bass guitarist? What do they SOUND like?
Will I get my $125.00 per ticket worth of enjoyment and value out of the money I have spent on tickets?

Yeah, but is Dave gonna be doing any split-leg jumps off the drum riser to land inch perfect on his spot?
Greetings:
My guess would be YES -- he will do that. He has said that he is still doing his black-belt Martial Arts regimen -- something he has done since the age of twelve.
For a man nearly 55 years old, DLR is incredibly fit.
I gotta give him much respect for that alone ...
I am really looking forward to this -- I hope I am NOT disappointed.
