DOOM Videogame Film Condones Killing of Innocents

The Hollywood film based on the DOOM videogame series condones, as part of its' plot, the killing of innocent bystanders, who just happened to be in the way of a military COMBAT SEARCH AND DESTROY OPERATION. This is yet another Hollywood film that desensitizes its' audience with over-the-top violence, and edge-of-your-seat quick-cutting camera editing.
This quick-cut editing style is done for two reasons; first, it lowers the attention span of the viewer, and second, it creates the trance-state through the flickering of light-versus-darkness, which is ALWAYS a component of these types of film sequences. Through these types of trance-states, the viewer is at their most suggestable, where they accept what they are being shown as TRUTH AND REALITY, and NOT the fiction it really is.
I will not ruin what little plot there was to this film, but I WILL say that at one point during the film, about twenty civilians are 'found' within a science facility. Because the squadron leader received SEEK AND DESTROY orders, he demands that his rookie soldier kill these innocents, which to the young man's credit, he refuses.
Then, the leader announces that mutunious insubordination is punishable by DEATH, and he then shoots this kid point-blank.
This film was subconsciously telling its' viewers that everyone is expendable, and that ALL ORDERS MUST BE OBEYED. Even though this film was based upon a videogame, this message still gets through. The younger teenage audience, along with children as young as ten years-old, are the primary audience for this film. Psychological studies have found that children as old as ten years-old mistake fiction for reality. Remember, the key here is the suggestibility and the trance-state.
There are many examples of this type of thing in many Hollywood films, and I will be talking about some of those films at a later date.
To their credit however, I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the films' sets, as well as the first-person-shooter perspective, which kicks in at two different times in the film. The film looked EXACTLY like the game, which as an adult in his mid 30's, I spent many hours playing in the mid-1990's.
