Will The USA Face A "Jericho" Future?

The CBS-TV television drama JERICHO foretells of thermonuclear war on American soil.


WILL THE USA FACE A "JERICHO" FUTURE?

The television drama that debuted this fall on CBS-TV is this post-apocalyptic show JERICHO. Featuring a series of nuclear attacks and renegade Homeland Security forces as its' main plot lline, the show centers on how the citizens of the fictional Jericho, Kansas survive these life-changing attacks several states away, but still on the mainland USA.

I had discovered in the mid-1990's that Hollywood had been featuring plot lines that would later come true; most famously among them were La Femme Nikita on the USA Network (see the symbolism here?), and the pilot episode of X-FILES spin-off THE LONE GUNMEN which showed the precise method of attack on the World Trade Center towers SIX MONTHS before it actually happened!! Furthermore, LONE GUNMEN star Dean Haglund had stated on a March 2005 interview on the Alex Jones radio show that the CIA had been feeding Chris Carter story ideas for his various television series, X-FILES, MILENNIUM, and LONE GUNMEN.

Some interesting people had come into town just before the attacks, adding intrigue to WHY they may have arrived, even if it appears to be coincidence. A black man and his family show up and buy a home for cash, setting off red flags in some minds. Then, it is shown that this man is broadcasting by using a secure battle-ready laptop computer and portable satellite dish. Is he an FBI AGENT, as he claims? Or is he in on the attacks?

A woman shows up to foreclose on a farm, and everyone she knows dies when Washington, DC is blown into the next millennia. Having threatened to make the deaf sister of the farmer homeless, she begins to fall in love with the young man she was sent to evict. And then there is the son of the mayor, Jake Green, who shows up from who knows where, where he had been for the last five years. Was Jake in prison, or was he out doing his country a heroic service?

They had shown the bombs going off, and the immediate aftermath. In the February 14, 2007 special RETURN TO JERICHO, Robert Hawkins mentioned that the following cities were taken out by a series of nuclear bombs: Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, Atlanta, San Diego, and Washington, DC. This attack was much more devestating than anyone had previously known.

The loss of power in Jericho brought about xenophobic feelings for that man who lives across the way, but whom you had never bothered to say hello to, or get to know. They showed the crimes when the food ran short, and the feelings of an even greater xenophobia when China drops some supplies in town. Was this some kind of a trap? However, the shipments included leaflets that said:

CHINA IS NOT YOUR ENEMY

It wasn't long before the criminal element showed up, first to profit, then to save the town from an even greater threat from a team of mercenaries known as RAVENWOOD, a formerly private for-hire security firm. The fear of a threat from without nearly had the town blowing up the only bridge into town. While protecting the town from Ravenwood, it would have isolated them from everything they needed to thrive as a town.

So, is THIS a peek into our own future?

Well, yes. AND no.

It CAN BE our future, if we sit on our asses and do NOTHING to help protect our family. We may be forced to steal (or worse) if we cannot keep the water on, or food to live on. Those survivalists have what they need, and while you laughed at them, you failed to understand what might happen if the power suddenly went out for a week, as it did here in Buffalo, New York USA on October 12-18, 2006 when a freak snow storm dumped nearly three feet of snow on my property.

Our entire Western New York area was considered a disaster area, and FEMA did a much better job here than they did in New Orleans during Katrina and its' aftermath. However, if we all do our part to prepare so we can weather the storm of a nuclear attack, which is statistically UNLIKELY to happen anywhere near you and I (and that is because they have targeted areas they want to hit) then we do NOT have to face our own JERICHO future.
