On February 6, 2007 Kentroversy granted a 30 minute interview to Japanese Film Publication STUDIO VOICE.
KENTROVERSY GRANTS INTERVIEW TO JAPANESE FILM PUBLICATION 'STUDIO VOICE'
On Tuesday, February 6, 2007, I was interviewed by the Japanese Film Publication STUDIO VOICE on the subject of my popular EYES WIDE SHUT special report, which has ignited interest and curiosity from all parts of the world. The interview was conducted by Patrick Macias and was thirty-minutes in length, where I was asked further questions regarding matters I brought up in the report itself.
This interview will appear as part of an article on EYES WIDE SHUT in the next issue of STUDIO VOICE, a Japanese language publication.
Here is the transcript of this interview:
Studio Source: “I read your essay on Eyes Wide Shut, and I listened to the Red Ice interview [of January 21, 2007], and I am a big Stanley Kubrick enthusiast, and like you, I know that very little in his films was accidental. These are meticulously crafted works …”
Kent Daniel Bentkowski: “Absolutely.”
SS: “I found your essay to be really interesting. The boldest claim that you make in the essay is that Kubrick himself was a member of a secret society, and may have been killed possibly as a result of Eyes Wide Shut. I was curious as to how you could possibly substantiate those claims, because I think for most people, those claims are the hardest to believe?”
KDB: “Actually, the knowledge of Mr. Kubrick having been a member of a group called the Illuminati has been well established in research circles, and many authors have written about this in their books. For one example, David Icke talks about this in his writing. In addition to this, besides Eyes Wide Shut, there are many of Kubrick’s films, and probably the best example of this is 2001: A Space Odyssey, that incorporate this esoteric symbolism into the structure of the movie. That is also a clue as to his membership in this secret society. The reason being is as you have just said – there is nothing about these films that are accidental – everything is very meticulously crafted, and the symbolism is inserted into these movies in such a way that it identifies to those people who are insiders, or initiates, or adepts in these secret societies, that they understand what they are looking at, while the wider public does NOT understand.
Getting to the issue of Kubrick’s death, the circumstance with that is, the Illuminati incorporate into their most devious workings and their evil deeds, numeric symbolism. For example, in the 9/11 event, there are many examples of the number 11 being used as part of that days’ event. And, in this case, with Mr. Kubrick, the time between his turning in the final print of the film to Warner Brothers, and four days later, he is found dead by his wife. And then, we go forward to January 1, 2001 – the first day of the year in which his most famous film takes place – and we find that they are exactly 666 days apart! This is NOT a coincidence, this is an example of this numeric symbolism that I am talking about here. This also relates to the Solar energy, as in the Qabalistic Tree of Life, the number 6 relates to the Sun. So, in doing something like this, they are attempting to harness the energy of the Sun.”
SS: “Yes, I was aware of the numerological significance of your idea there. I was curious, what do you think his motives were in revealing some of the mysteries, particularly if he knew that his life was at stake here? Why would he make a film that would put his life in danger?”
KDB: “Well, this had happened once before in the past, as well. Mozart had this opera called ‘The Magic Flute,’ in which he revealed secrets of Freemasonry. A little while after he debuted ‘The Magic Flute,’ he also was found dead. So, what happens is, and this is just conjecture on my part, but what I see in this is that, at the end of his life, he had accumulated a tremendous amount of success. He lived in a castle! And, he had a tremendous amount of wealth that he built up, as well.
I also have family in the Illuminati, and that is one of the reasons why I do what I do. And my personal family experience has been such as that NO ONE is allowed this high-level of financial success, unless they become part of this group, or accepted by this group. This is yet another clue into his membership in this group. He would want to reveal something like this, possibly because of guilt, or possibly just to reveal these secrets to the wider population. And, this is because we are currently in what is known as the Mayan Age of Revealing, which is tied into the Mayan calendar.”
SS: “2012, and all that?”
KDB: “Yes, 2012 and all that. That’s correct”
SS: “If such a powerful and controlling elite had the power to dispose of Stanley Kubrick, why didn’t they suppress the release of the film? I can go into pretty much any video store in the world, and see this film.”
KDB: “What the Illuminati does as a matter of practice, is they ignore things that are problematic to them. So, instead of blocking the actual release of the movie, which would add credibility to the things we are discussing here, they just pump this out, and then they do not talk about anything regarding any of this esoteric symbolism. In fact, in the movie, the one part that is NEVER discussed; in any of the packaging, promotional materials, in any of the interviews that were given by Tom Cruise and his wife Nicole Kidman, Stanley Kubrick’s comments as he was making the film – all of this completely IGNORED the ritual aspect of the movie."
SS: “I think what is interesting is that even viewers of the film don’t concentrate on that part of the film. You look at something like 2001, and afterwards, everyone is asking themselves what does the monolith mean? But, in casual conversation about Eyes Wide Shut, no one is talking about who are these people, and what are they doing? I’ve always found that very strange about the film. Viewers just turn themselves off to that part of the film.”
KDB: “Yes, I found that to be true, as well. What happened was, I had a movie night, where I had some of my family and close friends over, and we sat down as a group to watch the film Eyes Wide Shut. When we finished the movie, I had asked everyone who was there that night what they thought about what they had just seen. And they were just flabbergasted, because they did not understand any of the bigger picture there, related to the ritual, especially. The reason why I wrote this report was to get into these issues and explain a little deeper what exactly was going on in the film. And this report did address the many questions that my family and friends did have about the film and its’ occult symbolism.
In terms of ignoring this, or NOT seeing this – this is another part of movie making, which touches the subconscious mind of the viewer. What happens at this point is the audience is given these subconscious cues throughout the movie, which are designed to get them to concentrate on certain things, while they ignore certain other things.”
SS: “I had a recent interview with Lee Ermey, who played the drill instructor in Full Metal Jacket. And he was talking about his friendship with Kubrick, that had continued after they made that film, and he said that Kubrick told him that he felt that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman had ruined Eyes Wide Shut by taking over the production – every facet of it. This is what he was told.”
KDB: “Oh, that’s interesting.”
SS: “Given Tom Cruise’s role in Scientology, how does that affect your possible reading of the film?”
KDB: “Well, that is an interesting question. Scientology, as far as I’m concerned, is a secret society itself. In terms of how Scientology plays into all of this, it would be more appropriate if the film had more extraterrestrial dealings, because of the role that plays in the Scientology belief system, as opposed to these magickal ritual doings. That being said, however, L. Ron Hubbard was involved with Aleister Crowley, and Jack Parsons [founder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory] and all that crew, who were all members of the Ordo Templi Orientis, another secret society that practices a form of magick called sex magick, which we also see in this movie when Tom Cruise’s character is first seen walking through the mansion, and we see this orgy going on.
So, this is an expression of how Scientology fits into the proceedings.”
SS: “I heard that you plan on following up the popular Eyes Wide Shut essay with other writings on feature films. The one’s that you mentioned that surprised me were the Clerks films, which are seen as sort of raunchy comedies. I was wondering if you could provide a brief summation of what you think the Clerks films are all about?”
KDB: “Well, first of all, let me say that I am a big fan of Kevin Smith, and I enjoyed both of the Clerks films, and have them both on DVD. And I have seen both films several times. Obviously, I have seen the first film more often than the second, which was released earlier in 2006. There is an underlying theme in both of these films, which I describe as “the underbelly of the American economy.” And this relates to Generations X and Y, and the lost American dream. In doing these comedies, Kevin Smith talks about a profound truth – which is there is an entire younger age group in this country, who are trapped into dead-end jobs, which often times are behind counters, where they are wearing name tags and paper hats, and that sort of thing.
Also within the dialogue in these films, the two main characters talk about how they are trapped in this situation, and we find in Clerks 2 for instance, that Dante Hicks and Randall Graves had been working at the Quick-Stop for ten years. This shows the lack of motivation in this younger generation, the lack of a forward life plan for these generations, and that in a nutshell is pretty much what I see when I watch those two films.”
SS: “You don’t see them in an occult symbolism context like you do with Eyes Wide Shut?”
KDB: “No, not with Clerks, no.”
SS: “How about They Live? What does that film represent to you?”
KDB: “They Live is going to be the subject of my next [Hollywood film symbolism] report, it’s about half finished. This film talks about and shows the underground military bases, which are shown at the end of the movie. It also talks about the concept of our elected leaders, who are being directed by an unknown and unseen force, which remains hidden to the larger population. In terms of the symbolism there, a couple of years back, I had a chance to talk with John Carpenter about this film in particular, I contacted him through his agent at the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills, California. I was allowed to interview him about this movie. One of the things that I saw was that he was telling the truth about future events.
The movie being made in 1988, was at the end of the Reagan years, and was the end of a decade that was referred to as ‘The Me Decade.’ This was where everything was focusing on personal gain and instant gratification for the individual, and damn the bigger picture, and forget about the people around us. What I spoke to Mr. Carpenter about was the truth-telling aspects of the film, which he was very flattered to hear, although he denied that he was intentionally trying to reveal truth, and that he was just a teller of wild stories, and that was it.”
SS: “Your personal feeling on the symbolism in films of this sort, do you think they are deliberate and intentional, or do you find that they are coming from the subconscious minds of the writers and directors?”
KDB: “It is a little bit of both. There are some movies where – for example, there are so many examples in Eyes Wide Shut, that this symbolism cannot be a coincidence or an expression of the subconscious of the filmmakers. But then, there are some films that are synchronistic and are very coincidental in that they do show things that do later turn out to be true, or are revealed as truth. An example of one of those type of movies is like The Matrix, for instance. After that film came out in 1999, we saw things that since 1999 have been revealed in the alternative press as being true.
That there is this subconscious manipulation going on, and that it is being done to harm people and trap them into this – what we’ll call a five-sense reality, which excludes everything related to experiences outside of those five-senses. These are experiences where we may interact with a dead relative, or where we may see a UFO, or have a very profound spiritual experience or awakening. And what the global elite are trying to do most of all, in the writings of the 1800’s occult magician by the name of Eliphas Levi, wrote about what they try to do is shut down the spiritual progress of the individual, if at all possible. And, if they cannot shut it down entirely, they attempt to slow it down at least as much as they can get away with.
What is the biggest potential problem to the elite as a group, is the general population’s emerging spiritual ascension, which goes back to the 2012 issue once again. Because the end of the Mayan calendar is not going to portend World War III or a UFO invasion of the planet, or any of that type of nonsense. The end of that calendar represents the end of a spiritual cycle, and the beginning of a new cycle of higher spiritual ascension.”
SS: “I hope so.”
KDB: “This is what it appears to be, anyhow.”
SS: “I was curious to get a sense of your politics. I am trying to explain this to a Japanses reader who may not be familiar with the concepts that are going on. Your background, I believe, is as an Investment Banker, which must give you a unique perspective on global events. So, could you sum up your political beliefs?”
KDB: “Yes, you are quite right, In the 1980’s, I worked as a licensed Investment Banker, and when I stopped doing that, I had my own commercial printing business for ten years, where I was a subcontractor of the Federal Government, and several large Defense Contractors here in the Buffalo and Western New York areas. Now, in terms of my politics, I describe it in the following way. I believe in two things – number one, TRUTH. Number two, I am what I refer to as a Constitutional Protectionist. That is, anything related to the Constitution, and anything related to the continuance of the Constitution, is what I fully support.
In fact, Patrick, I do NOT think in terms of Democrats and Republicans, and the Right versus the Left, and all of that. This is because those are actually artificial constructs, which are designed to keep us thinking in a dualistic fashion. This also prevents us from understanding that many, many of the solutions to the problems that face us are actually shades of grey, and not these “You are either with us, or against us” type of arguments.”
SS: “How did you become interested in secret societies and alternative history?”
KDB: “I became interested in these things because of my family being involved in this elite group, and it interested me intellectually. I have always been fascinated by the things about which I am not supposed to know! This has been the primary theme of my life, from as far back as I can remember, as a young child. When I was in my school years, I was constantly butting heads with the administrators, and other adults, who were telling me that I shouldn't be thinking about these things, and that I shouldn’t be getting into these areas of research. But, it was just so fascinating to me because above and beyond all this political intrigue, there are some heavy-duty spiritual truths that these elites are keeping from the larger population. And THAT, ultimately, is what interests me THE MOST!”
SS: “How do you describe what you do?”
KDB: “The way I describe myself is as a research-journalist. I say it this way, because I concentrate on research as opposed to reporting the daily news. The things about which I write are more timeless in their subject matter, as opposed to something that may be outdated a month from now.”
SS: “Thank you so much for your time.”
KDB: “You are very welcome. Have a great day, Patrick.”
